Thank you everybody, Gisbert, Wojciech, Rich!
Rich hit the Point. It is the template-file My boss used. He used an oser but our
standard and saved it lokal on his Machine. Now I set our Standard Template it seams
to work well.
PEDA-group is still on Top!!

I have seen this problem before, it happens (to me at least) when the
default template (for schematic) is not found. To solve just reset the
template to a known good one, or remove altogether.

I wasn't trying to prove anything, just mentioning a way to heat up your
cpu.. If its overclocked too muchor the power supply is inadequate, it will
fail.
And I did't have to write that loop...

I suppose
Seems that my server was blocking me from this group for awhile so I'll
repost this since the discussion is ongoing. A simple CPU/video torture
test is to go to the NASA Goes-8 weather satellite,

images and then animate. W

Sorry for not being precise.
I meant: Save as ASCII, then export.

If you are running the "torture test" it should be using 100% CPU. Does the

using an SMP machine make sure to set the affinity appropriately.
This has been a well documented tool for stability testing in the

I haven't had such situation but I think that you may also try
2 other options before reinstalling Protel:
1. Export schematics to ASCII and import them to a new (empty)
database.
2. Eventually check whether everything is OK with Client99SE.ini file

Gisbert,
thank you for your Informations. Tried both ways you mentioned with half a
success.
The access violation message is gone the error "File format.." is still there. Think I
have to reinstall Protel. First ToDo point for tomorrow.
Thank you ones again,

Waldemar,
I remember a similar situation. You could try two approaches:
1. save the DDB in spite of the error messages, close it. and do a "repair
" on this DDB. This helped me in one case.
2. Create a new DDB, and copy all documents from the DDB with the error
message into the new one, and then
Hello everybody out there.
Here is an ONtopic question and I hope there is somebody left to read it and give me a
advice for a solution ;-)
For I did not find any Answer in the manual and the Knowledge base.
