Hi guys
Some time ago I wrote a simple exe that extracted the first wave from
the Transient Analysis data in an exported sdf file.
Unfortunately I decided to develop it further and at the moment it's a
bit broken due to the development.
It has a treeview in the left hand window pane showing the
I downloaded and installed SP4 (129MB) just last night.
So far everything seems the same with Protel99se sp6
It did, however, hang protel last night after saving a very large
simulation data file (*.sdf) but that seems to be on par for the Protel
course.

And therein lies the difference in our experiences with split planes. All
of our boards are complex, non-rectilinear layouts that are completely hand
routed. Multi-nested splits work perfectly when hand routed.

Brad, Brian, and the List,
I seem to remember seeing some posts about some real bigtime problems with
SP3 of Win2K, but cannot remember if it was with Protel 99 SE or with Protel
DXP, although I think that it may have been DXP.
Does anyone have any updates on this issue, and whether or not these
Then, you are still on SP3, with just some pre-sp4 patches, the full true SP4 is now
out.
Here is the direct, 1 file downloadable version. I just hate that st--id window's

Subject: [PEDA] Win2K SP4 and P99SE
Before I install Win2K SP4, has anyone here already done it?
Any Protel headaches?
Thx.
Brian,
I believe that I am running W2000 SP4 without any problems. Can't tell you for
absolute sure but I see (SP4) when I check my installed programs and look at the most
recent hotfixes. I sort of expected it to show me SP4 installed but the only sign I
could see are a bunch of Pre-SP4
My experience with split planes in 99SE is that it doesn't work if you
autoroute the board.
I had a design about a year ago that I was initially going to use split
planes on (3.3V and 5V nets on the same layer). After placing the split
planes, using the autorouter would result in the 3_3V and 5V

Hi, I wonder if this is what you need. Are you talking about the SI
analyzer from the Tools menu? If so then the waveform display can be saved
as datapoints suitable for directly charting in excel or any plotting prog.
I have just been doing the same kind of job that you are describing,
