Just an update, i have done further debugging and have finally found
the problem after looking at the request headers with fiddler.
the problem is that our system uses LDAP, the server is challenged
with WWW-Authenticate at the login page only once.

You can store state in session (server side) or in cookies (browser -

In all browsers but IE this works great. In IE when i drag an item,
the items do not shift to allow dropping. If I remove float:left; from
