Hey Folks! We were looking for the launch lugs for the rocket in the
"normal" tubs, but were unable to find them. Has anyone seen them? or know
where they might otherwise be?
Thanks!

Just a note, the 1Kw ME laser cutter would be perfect for making these...
Thin sheet is fine for these parts...

I'm guessing you mean putting a spacer on the face of the bulkhead
that bares the thrust of the motor. That would effectively lower the
whole retainer assembly. We have about 0.625" of bore on the bulkhead
that the motor casing slides into, we could probably reduce that down
to as little as 0.2". I
So I was figuring out how to mount the new motor casing in the
airframe and ran into this issue (see picture). The forward closure on
the new motor sits higher then the old one, and if I simply extend the
retaining bracket it will interfere with the avionics.
The easiest option would be to shorten
I'm also out of town this weekend

So we are going to make another set of 3 fins for the new spin can, which
will leave us with one full normal motor fairing, and one full spin-can
motor fairing, however it would be cool to have some stickers on the new
fins. I'm figuring on using the same color scheme, one green, 2 black
fins... An
might work out with the rest of our parts...

So at one point we were talking about putting a smoke generator on the
rocket above the control surfaces so that we could see the aerodynamic
affects of the canards and fins. I came across a COTS smoke generator
online, it would be pretty cool if that were on board the rocket...

Hi Andrew,
-Under the Roll_Control directory, there is a Servo_Arm_JR_Servo part that
can be used for the servo arm. We picked this up from one of the standard
servo-arm packages at tammies hobbies
-I have a few older servos that I'd be happy to donate to the project, they
use pretty standard dime
Hi Folks, after the last launch I was short one brown folding metal chair,
has anyone seen this around?

Hi Folks, I'd like to do an airframe mechanical test assembly tomorrow night
to verify calculated mass and CG numbers, as well as test some of our
assembly SOP's... For those people with airframe parts, could you bring them
with you tomorrow? As well as any screws or small tools you may need for

So it occurs to me, there will be many more people at the May launch, and it
would proably be good to put something that is high-visibility on the guy
wires so other people don't run into/drive into them. Anyone have some
yellow caution tape or something floating around?

Humm... a titanium nosecone tip would be pretty cool :) I could also see use
for mg parts... we end up making all kinds of interesting parts for the
rocket and raw materials are always handy :) Hope to see you there...
