eventually I found the installer for PT 9.05. But: how complicated can a web
page be?
Anyway. On that page they said that an earlier version of PT is required on my
machine to run the update installer. My issue is the following: PT 8 was
installed on my MacBook in Snow Leopard. Then
There is a full installer of pt 9.05 on the downloads page of your products in
your account. You shouldn't have a problem.

You have the dVD for Pro Tools 9, right? Simply install from the dVD and run
the Software Updater application from the Pro Tools folder. It's a piece of
