So far, I have to say that I am very impressed with ProTools. I recorded a
session the other day and it was a breeze. I love how they have the playback,

Chad, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the two DAW's once you've had
a little more time with ProTools.
I gather Sonar is more robust when it comes to MIDI, but of course,
we know Pro Tools is the industry standard.

You guessed it. I am in the process of switching over to ProTools. Although, I
don't know that I will ever leave sonar behind. At least not for a little while
anyway.

Elastic Audio doesn't split the audio into clips. It analyses the audio
material with the help of transients. After the analysis, it creates so called
Warp Marks. Every transient is seen as an event and can be quantized. The audio
is stretched between the warp marks. So crossfades a
Thanks for the help. Will that also do the automatic cross fades? Or is that
something I have to do after quantizing the drums? Thanks again.

Hello,
You can change the grid in the grid-nudge-cluster. But why don't you work with
elastic audio? It's much easier to accomplish: Just go to the edit window and
interact with all your drum tracks. Then, select rhythmic in the elastic audio
plugins menu. Then, you can quantize your drums.
