Hello everyone,
I am wondering what plugin works in Pro Tools for auto tuning vocals? I have a
track I’m working on where the vocals are slightly out of tune in spots. I
think I read on here that Melodyne is not yet accessible so just curious what
people are using?
Thanks,

steve,

You can turn the mouse keys on and off by pressing the option key 5 times, you
will hear a spring type clicking sound each time the mouse keys are toggled and
in Mavericks and later Voiceover will tell you whether the mouse is on or off.

Karen,
Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely check out that book and see if I
can find it in electronic format.

Hi Brian,
Best book I have ever learned of for Pro Tools is called pro tools for
musicians.
I have no idea if it exists electronically, or how current it is lately.
still media associates of mine rave about the effort, at least for an old
fashioned foundation on the program.

The Mouse Keys has a shortcut that toggles it on when you press a particular
modifier a number of times. Yeah, take a look in that preference pane and you
might find that it's checked. Worth looking at. Otherwise, I have no idea what
else might cause this behavior.

Thanks Scott, I wonder if there is a shortcut key to toggle that because I know
that he only stayed in the PT session when he was working.

Hello all,
Does anyone have any books that they recommend on the use of pro tools? I am
nerdy and really like reading tech books, and I figured since I am learning pro
tools, I would see if you guys have any recommendations of good books to read.

Is MouseKeys enabled perhaps? You can check it in System Prefs,
probably under Universal Access.

So, I let a sighted friend use my rig and when I got back to it my Numb pad
functions were gone again. He tried to figure it out but was unable. One
thing that he said was when he pressed the keys on the numb pad the mouse
pointer was moving around, so I am wondering if something was clicked that

Brian,
Under the Navigation tab of the VoiceOver Utility, there's an option for how
the mouse behaves. You can set it to follow the VoiceOver cursor. There was a
time when this setting was problematic but it seems to work alright now. It's
just one less step to remember when needing to click wi
Hey Slau,
Doesn’t it automatically default to the voiceover cursor following the mouse
cursor? If so, I don’t believe I have changed that. I know how to route the
mouse there manually, but what am I looking for in the voiceover utility to
make sure that that is set correctly just to doublechec
Hi Brian,
Either method for adding tracks to the cue to import should work. If we're
talking only that number of tracks, I'm beginning to suspect that something
might've happened with the dimensions of your track list somehow. It's unlikely
but possible that its right border might have been mov
Hi Slau,
We are talking about 13 or 14 tracks for this session. The weird thing is I
tried the exact thing I am doing now on Friday with another session and it
worked great. Guess I will try the other alternative method you describe to
see if that works. As far as deselecting the tracks, I am
