OK, thank you for that confirmation. That's kind of what I suspected all along.
Someone had suggested to me that they thought it could be done, then I could
carry those presets over to Reaper on my Windows machine, and provided I had
the same plugin as a VST, I could then simply import them into
Yeah, Slau. That's absolutely what I was trying to tell this other person, but
they insisted I asked, so... yeah... there we go. Question answered, and
suspition confirmed. LOL! Thanks for your help. Smile.

They're not any better (or worse, for that matter) but simply different.

FXP and FXB are not the format that Pro Tools uses so, just as you cannot save
a preset in AAX format in Logic, for example, you cannot save an FXP format in

Hi John!
Just use Flo Tools, activate the track inspector, navigate to a Track in the
mix or edit window and press f once to check the status and two times f to
freeze or unfreeze.

Hi,
If I freeze some tracks in PT, I would appreciate some kind of VoiceOver
compatible feedback in the track list to tell me that a track is frozen.
Currently, the fastest way to find them, is to select “show only frozen tracks”
from the track list menu.
Any other methods out there? :)
