If you're creating fades, there's no need to separate a clip but you'd certainly use the scrub feature to define at least some points within the track to start with. Beyond that, there's no need to make a selection if you're using default curves. If you want to bring up the Fades dialog, then ye

Ramy, When you say "reach the end of my selection," do you mean when you've played back your selection? If you have the insertion not following playback then, yes, the playback will once again start from the beginning of your selection. That's the mode you want to be in about 99% of the time whe
