I've used the Advanced audio U-87 and it's not bad!
As for the real deal the "Neumann U-87" Bill Bradley modified my 87 & its

Within the last year, always have had imediate responses. Its a small family
run company and they did change over some email systems in the last while if I
recall, so worth investigating/contacting again.

Hi Cameron, if you like the u87 then there’s a great Canadian company advanced
audio who make a u87 style microphone for around 500 US. I haven’t used but
have their more expensive c12 and its excellent as is their customer service.
Sarm audio also makes a u87 clone which has more mixed
FYI, my last mic purchase was the Blue's Blueberry. I haven't really looked
back because it has been such a rock solid tool.

Hello,
The Majave MA50 was actually on my list before I upgraded a few years ago. When
I bring another mic into the locker, I will definitely be considering it again.

Hi. Okay, thank you very much. That is exactly the sort of feedback
I'm looking for. After going through the files in the Sweetwater
microphone shootout today, doing a blind test of sorts, I realized
that my ears have expensive freaking taste! I chose the U87, Miktech,

Hello,
Of the five, I have experience with two. I much prefer the Blue over the AKG.
The Blue is more versatile IMO. When the AKG shines, it does so quite well, but

I found a reasonably priced USB C dock for my USB A peripherals and iLok from
Amazon Basics. It works with my bus powered Korg NanoPad and my Behringer

For Thunderbolt 2.0 conversion, I use a StarTech single converter for my Apogee

Hello everybody. this may be a little off topic but I'm going to be
upgrading my main microphone in the near future and have narrowed my

If any of you have experience with any of the microphones below, could
you please give me your thoughts both positive
Agreeing with Steve—Thunderbolt Dock is the way to go. Make sure you get one
that's Mac compatible. I've never had any issues but others have purchased Dell
hubs and they don't work. A proper retailer should point you in the right
direction. In the states we have places that specialize in Apple
I have a thunderbolt hub Thats a few years old that I connect to my 2017 MBP
with the apple thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter. (Thunderbolt 1 and 2 are
backwards compatible) If its just for Ephernet, keyboards, iLok and etc, You
can find a USB-C dock with 100 watt pass through for power so
Hello!
For those of you working with an Apple MacBook newest generation...
How do you handle all that external gear like iLok, full size keyboard,
soundcard, ethernet ports etc.
I'm thinking of putting my iMac 2017 and my current MacBook Pro (mid 2014)
tobether into one new MacBook Pro.
