I have two questions which are both completely unrelated. Hopefully, somebody
can help me out. let's say that I have selected a bit of audio on either one
audio track, or a series of tracks. back in the days when I was using Windows,
and was using sound Forge, after selecting audio,

You can enable pre/post roll with command+k and audition your selection
using the combination of following keys.
option=pre
command=post
left arrow=beginning
right arrow=end
Let's say your pre/post length is both set to 1 bar in transport view,
and you selected bar 2, 3, and 4. If yo
selection left or
right, you use the option key with the above keys. That may be as clear as
mud, but I hope it may help somebody.

Nudge value is set either by clicking on the nudge value button and entering
the desired valu
Regions or clips as they are known in version ten and later refers to the audio
that are on the individual tracks. Any recorded piece of audio is one clip
until you split it with the split command.
