Hello all!
Reading the Pro Tools audio plug-in guide regarding de-essing I came across the
De-Esser III.
In my opinion the description of the "HF Only" button is contradictory.
At first you'll find the following description:
"The Frequency (Freq) control sets the frequency band in which the De-E
That is definitely confusing. It sounds like disabling HF only should only act
on the selected band in the first paragraph, but the second paragraph makes it
sound like the selected band is only a side chain for a standard compressor.
I give your English 10 out of 10 🙂

Hi Guys,
Try some YouTube videos on it first then try some pro tools presets and take
note of the changes in the Pro tools De-Esser.
Check out the wide band option also.
To cut to the "chase" as they say!
Waves sibilance is much superior and virtually transparent!)
