Guys,
I doubt very seriously there is anything stock with ProTools, but
figured I'd ask on list about this, just out of the purely rare chance
that I'm missing something.
So, in Logic, they have a loop browser. Normally you turn it on and off
with the letter o.
I know this list isn't
Sent from my iPhone hello, I’m trying to learn how to use sample loops in
ProTools. I just got a whole bunch of wave files. What I tried is to import
them into an audio track in a ProTools session. However, I don’t know how to
make them conform to the temple of my project. Can somebody give
Hello to all of you again,
Thanks for your answers Joy and Martin.
Yes I want to work with loops. Producing music by playing it all myself is
not so easy for me. I am coming from the DJ world. So if in any way
possible I would like to go the sample based (loops) rute.

Martin,
the loop browser remains a mystery to me. When i wrote "this is possible", it
was in regards to producing electronic music in PT, with Synths or sample
libraries, and with a loop-based approach, meaning loops or patterns you create
yourself and then process, slice and so

So basicly you stack loops on each other and turn them on or off plus have
a melody played. So very simple stuff in teory.
In this curse they use Ableton Live. But I
I’ve just taken another look at the Workspace window and the auditioning
process and it seems to have improved quite a bit. I was able to audition a few
files at the session tempo in real time. True workflow is another matter
altogether and, since I don’t typically work by browsing loops within
Nope, not your ignorance, As someone who works with loops alot its one
of the main reasons i stopped using pro Tools as my main DAW. I
personally hacked together a solution to make reaper work for me on
OSX, a few years ago (though now Osara is finally starting to see some
life on the mac
Anyone have any tips, tricks or tutorials on using loops and ProTools? Maybe
I'm an idiot, or maybe it is because I am lazy and have not upgraded lately,
but I have had no luck using the workspace window. It seems like importing
loops and then copying and pasting to a single track is a lot
Hi listers,
Sorry for the stupid quetion. If I understand it ell, Pro Tools comes

in a default fresh installation? Or do I need to download those goodies from
the avid site.

Hi,
I’m just wondering if there may be a tutorial for working with loops in
Protools from a blindness perspective? I feel there’s so much i don’t
understand when it comes to building especially drum tracks, and rather than
pestering this list with my stupid questions i’d like to know if there’s

Hello,
I too use loops in a similar manner to you. in version 8, 9 and 10 of Pro
Tools the workspace windows isn't accessible at all. There for it wasn't easy
to work with loops and i switched to using reaper on the mac instead. As such i
haven't spent the money for Pro Tools 11 yet, partly

Hey guys. My friend Ian Baird has just released a bunch of drum loops for free.
It's about 300 megs worth of loops, fills, and 1 shots. He nailed the main 3
bpm's, 100, 120, and 160, which in some cases is actually 80. The drums are
pristinely recorded and sound great. This is the drummer who
the choice with Him. J Hudson Taylor.

Hello ALL,
Any one has any experience importing rex or acid loop files and having
them conform to the sessions tempo from the import audio dialogue.
Under the processing preferences i only see option for that when its

Hi all,
I just cannot figure out how to record a loop from the Xpand 2 plug-in. Have
been searching the manuals and the internet but only found it perhaps has to do
with adding an audio track and routing the instrument track to it. Have tried
almost everything but can't get it to work. Can
