Hi, I setup server to run tasks as I went into the services I wanted
turned on and enabled them. Once this is done is there no way to go
back or turn everything but pro tools and voiceover off so just those
portions that are needed for pro tools are running? Nick Gawronski

I'm not totally sure regarding the whole server issue. I'll need to look into
that in more detail too I think. In the meantime, I've borrowed an m box and a
small USB Behringer surface to get me through the last few weeks of college,
but obviously this is not a long term solution. It did get me
Hi, Yes that server program you can download from the app store. It is
called server.app should this service cause any major problems with pro
tools if not a lot of hits are being made to it as it is running on a
home network? Nick Gawronski

Hi, This morning I installed the 10.9.3 update. Before I install
updates is there a way to see if the update is ready for pro tools yet?

Hi, How do you kill server as there are lots of different services it
starts and none of them are in the force close dialog? Would I have to
go in and disable them all one by one? Nick Gawronski

Hi, How does pro tools 11 get updates as I am not sure if the software
updating tool that comes with pro tools 10 will check for pro tools 11
updates or will it? Nick Gawronski

did you actually set up server to perform task? or did you just download it

I have also been experiencing this most frustrating error message reasonably
frequently. I have tried connecting my external hard drive via USB instead of
thunderbolt but to no avail. I tried a different hard drive entirely, same
result. If I put the buffering settings up it then tells me to
Try switching where the drive and 002 are set up in the chain.
Try plugging the drive into the computer, then run the 002 from the
drive's pass through port.
Folks have seen differing results from that.
Also, regarding spotlight, when you say you disabled spotlight, did you

I'm not exactly sure what might be causing these issues. I've never seen them
myself. A couple of things come to mind, however. First, it's never advisable
to update the system software before checking compatibility with Pro Tools, if
that's your main production machine. Yes, I understand that

Nick, that wouldn't be every update applied, as there is now a 10.9.3. It
just came out a few days ago.

Hi, I have had this issue for a few days now in both pro tools 10 and pro
tools 11. I have been recording and suddenly with no other programs open
and spotlight disabled completely pro tools comes up with the dialog that
says the operating system held off interrupts for to long and yes I have
try using a firewire or USB drive instead and see if the issue persist.
