Hi Tim, I spend pretty much all of my time working with drums/guitars/vocals and very rarely do anything with MIDI/synth stuff, so I'm not the best person to advise you of which virtual instruments are accessible. Hopefully someone else on the list can chime in and give you clues of what they're using. I wouldn't bother investing any time or money into testing the accessibility of Native Instruments plugins though, as the frameworks the company build all of their plugs on aren't accessible, so at this time, to the best of my knowledge, nothing developed by NI is usable without Hotspots, AHK scripts or some similar method which require the user to be running Windows.
