Dear all, On Behalf of the Bio-Ontology SIG organizers, I am pleased to inform you that the Journal of Biomedical Semantics supplement containing select papers from the Bio-Ontologies 2009 meeting is now available at: http://www.jbiomedsem.com/supplements/1/S1
Among the co-organizers, special credit goes to Larisa Soldatova for leading the editorial effort. We extend our thanks to the reviewers for providing constructive feedback to expand the short meeting papers into journal length papers. In the introduction to the supplement -- at http://www.jbiomedsem.com/content/1/S1/I1 -- we briefly summarize the selected papers. We invite you to read these outstanding papers. At this time, we would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to the upcoming Bio-Ontologies 2010 meeting at ISMB 2010 in Boston. This year, both the Semantic Web Health Care and Life Sciences Interest Group at the W3C and the biomedical Knowledge Representation Working Group of the American Medical Informatics Association have chosen the Bio-Ontologies SIG as choice venue for cross-discipline exchange. Another event of note is the joint panel session between the BioLink and Bio-Ontologies meetings on July 10th. The full programme spans two days (details at: http://www.bio-ontologies.org.uk/programme) and registration details are available at: http://www.bio-ontologies.org.uk/registration. Look forward to see you in Boston! Regards, Bio-Ontologies 2010 Organizers
