Answering my own question based on more research on Fedora Rawhide updated today and an Fedora 10 update today. For some reason I've missed the fact that on the "Playback" tab in PAVucontrol there is a "move stream" drop down. This works on both F10 and F11 (rawhide) and is immediate. Excellen
