I’m excited to announce a new backwards-compatible feature release for Puppet Agent. The All-in-one Agent package contains updated component versions, including:
- Puppet 4.6.0 - this release introduces tooling to support environment isolation, reporting for manual change corrected by Puppet, a sensitive type that’s the first step towards better handling of sensitive information, and failover if a master becomes unavailable - Facter 3.4.0 - adds a configuration file that can be used to configure a number of existing command-line options, and detects PhotonOS - PXP Agent 1.2.0 - failover if the broker becomes unavailable This release also adds support for 5 new platform versions: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 s390x, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 s390x, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 s390x, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 s390x, Fedora 24. This release also includes a security fix for PXP Agent. See the security announcement here <https://puppet.com/security/cve/cve-2016-5713>. Special thanks to community member Clay Caviness for various OS X fixes.
