Randy were seeing at their site, so this may be a different problem.

occasionally a getattr state machine that starts, but never gets past
the PVFS request sched

I have a question about specifying storage locations for a pvfs2
filesystem. Is it possible to specify two different locations for the
storage? Can the filesystem, conditionally choose one of these
locations? The conditions need to be evaluated at file creation time.
