Sorry, stupid question. There is a 'resize' property in the 'packing'
tab in Glade that I hadn't spotted. I set this on for the first pane and
off for the second pane, and it works fine.

My apologies if I'm posting to the wrong list. I couldn't
find the right one. I'm trying to move my application fully
to gnomevfs to give it the ability to remotely open and edit
files. However, I'm experiencing some discrepancies in the
GNOMEVFS Documentation and the python-gnomevfs API.
I'm using Glade 2.6.0, if you check the "Palette" window,
- Make sure you are in "GTK+Basic"
- 3rd row from the bottom, there will be 4 icons corresponding to
"Horizontal Box", "Vertical Box", "Table" and then "Fixed Positions"
