Very wrong. Designer is a factory class for an item in a view. So you need
to create the factory for the view itself, then call the view factory to
create the actual GUI.

by the way:
I try to set up a basic test case for using an .ui file created with
designer as base.
The .ui is a MainWindow, containing among other stuff a label named "label"
--%<--
import sys
from PyQt4.QtCore import Qt
from PyQt4.QtGui import QApplication
from dip.model import *
from dip.
Trying out an test app, I get the following error:
unhandled TypeError
"__init__() takes exactly 2 arguments (1 given)"
Datei: /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/dip/model/meta_model.py,
Zeile: 113
I get this error, when I run meta_model.py itself, too.
Is it a bug or is something wrong w
f***, thats the problem! Its dip for v3!!!
just figured out on
http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk/software/dip/download
I try again...
Thank you very much!

dip doesn't need Python v2.7, v2.6 should be fine.

Hi,
trying to use dip, I have some problems to install python 2.7.
Because dip needs 2.7, I installed it from kubuntu backports on my
ubuntu 10.10 64bit OS.
The error message:
ImportError: No module named PyQt4.QtGui
is due to not proper module linking, because that works with python 2.6.
