Domain-specific languages are emerging as a fundamental component of
software engineering practice. DSLs are often introduced when new
domains such as web-scripting or markup come into exis

On behalf of the Python development team and the Python community, I
am happy to announce the first beta releases of Python 2.6 and Python
3.0.
Please note that these are beta releases, and as such are not suitable
for production environments.
This is a one-time announcement regarding the creation of a local
special interest group serving the Texas/Oklahoma/New Mexico area.
The goals of this group are:
- Bring together researchers, students, and practitioners
- Provide a local forum for sharing research and teaching ideas
