Although this is an old & closed error, I'm still running in to it.
I am trying to compile & install 64 bit python with Tk/Tcl support on
Mac OS X 10.5.7.
I have installed 64-bit Tcl/Tk:
$ file /Library/Frameworks/Tk.framework/Versions/8.
