My guess is that you have an older 32-bit-only Scripting Addition from Adobe
installed. This has nothing to do with Python.

The solution is to either remove or update /Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe
Unit Types.osax/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Unit.
