In the ipaddress library documentation related to multicast. https://docs.python.org/3/library/ipaddress.html#ip-addresses the is_multicast, refers to the v6 multicast RFC as 2373: "is_multicast True if the address is reserved for multicast use. See RFC 3171 (for IPv4) or RFC 2373 (for IPv6)."
