i made some pythonesque RL experiments myself. what you have preinstalled is a wrapper for the actual library (that you need to download saperately here http://adamv.com/dev/python/curses/ ). iirc, just unzip & paste in your python/curses directory under Lib -- http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/python-list
