Bummer for me. Check this out:
C code on Solaris 10 SPARC returns the following with nscd
running (the Solaris Naming Services Caching Daemon, on by
default):
PRIMARY according to gethostbyaddr(): my-dns-cname.our.org
ALIAS according to gethostbyaddr():
