Oh, I was actually wrong in that this is IPython's mistake…
The root cause is ipdb, which causes misbehaviour in both the core
interpreter and IPython ;)!

(https://wiki.qt.io/New_Features_in_Qt_5.5#Deprecated_Functionality) and
is to be replaced by Qt WebEngine (which was introduced in Qt 5.4). Qt
WebEngine has a corresponding PyQt module.
Please provide a package for
QtWebEngine itself is not in Debian yet. Once it is, we intend to provide
bindings for it.
