I've been using Eclipse for a while now (just started using 3.1) and
for the first time find the latest version of PyDev useful. I agree
that the eclipse interface is "sprawling" but stick with it and read
the documentation. It's really developer friendly once you get the

I've tried to use PyDev, but apart from the speed issue, Eclipse's
