I'm not entirely sure, but isn't the eclipse UI done in SWT so the
library is separate for each platform, hence looks like whatever the
host is?

I've been using Eclipse for a while now (just started using 3.1) and
for the first time find the latest version of PyDev useful. I agree
that the eclipse interface is "sprawling" but stick with it and read
the documentation. It's really developer friendly once you get the
