I tried latest Solaris Expres (B27a) on Fedora Core 4 QEMU 7.0.2
with KQEMU.
After start I got a lof of WARNING about ata1 timeouts and

I install a Solaris 10 (03/05) on couple QEMUs from CVS 0.6.2
(Host FEDORA or CentOS) without huge problems (With or without
IDE patch). I tried both instalation from CD-ROM image and CD
(/dev/cdrom).

DGA as a option will be OK, in BOCHS you can choose what you use
for Video background driver.
I use a DGA and VMware a lot. I use on all my computers ATI cards
for long time without not problems.
DGA problem on ATI is not related only to ATI drivers, but also
to card producers and MB AGP

I allready use UML tool tunctl with QEMU and it works OK.
I like then I can have under control creation and use of tun0
device plus I dont need to play with SUDO (SElinux).
