Cool idea. Two questions:
- Is there a consistency problem for users switching between platforms? Maybe
it's best to determine the 2 most used selection modifier functions, and then
make the keys the same on both platforms..
- What does swapping the selection exactly mean?

Hi,
The Yukon Department of Environment is looking for someone to develop a
Streamlined Quantum GPS application or plugin
(http://forum.qgis.org/viewtopic.php?f=5t=7417).
The requirements sound a lot like what Martin D. did with his gismapper (was
that the name?) project he presented in
At the moment you need to hold the alt key. To do it the other way would take
more work and might be trouble just waiting to happen.
Ok how about this as a proposal for the select tools:
Shift: switch to contains select (default is intersects, this will not be user
configurable)
Ctrl:
+1
sounds good for me. Being also a Linux user I welcome the decision not to
use the Alt-key. Also, it is good if all platforms behave more or less the
same.

Hi All (and especially translators)
As of today please note that we are entering string freeze for the run
up to the next release.
This is some kind of inbetween release due to some facts that are
described here:

Hi,
I think it would be nice to publish this sources. Maybe anyone
else can look at this and improve or adopt for fTools. I'm not
sure about my own time, but I'm interested in this.

Hi all.
In trunk, Union crashes QGIS. In 1.5, with the same layers, all OK.
Can anyone confirm?
All the best.

Hi Paolo,
I'm currently working on this problem. It appears to be a GEOS error,
but I can't quite pin down what's going on?
I think there is already a bug report for the Union issue, so no need
to file a report there.
