Hi Régis
The attribute table is not using any providers indexes. And when
thinking about it a couple of questions arise like stable syntax across
providers (different providers need different SQL which either needs to
be translated from QgsExpressions or written by the user). Then a

Hi,
I noticed that the blend modes do not have any effect on labels.
I was trying to see if one of the blend modes could help to label
orthophotos where you have the problem that the photo varies a lot in
brightness - there are dark and bright regions next to each other and
therefore neither

Ah right - it is already available - cool!
So it can be found in the label settings dialogue. Just testing now.
Thanks,

Hi,
I tested the blend modes with white bold labels on top of a orthofoto
and unfortunately I could not find a blend mode that fitted my needs. I
was hoping to find a mode that would result in the exact negative of the
underlying graphics - meaning if the backgrund is dark, the label should

Very nice,
From a GUI and user point of view, how could those indexes be created? By hand
in layer properties? From datasource indexes?
My concern is that user don't have to manually tell to QGIS to create some
indexes, when a data administrator already has done it in the database.

Hi Paolo,
Sorry for not answering quick enough.
Have you discovered what was causing the issue ?
Sometimes, you have to force Qgis Server to reload the project file by
reloading apache ( service apache2 reload in debian )

I'm glad that the tickets was reopened since, IMHO, an effort should be
done to make users transition from 1.8 to 2.0 as comfortable as possible.

It was probably a misconfigured projection.
All the best.

For what it is worth, I frequently use several hundred MB shapefile

Hi,
First, let me thank for the guidelines - for the developer (Marco I

The behavior is a bit non-standard, though. When dragging from the

Hi all,
I am working on compiling QGIS for Windows under a MinGW environment - my
program links with R so unfortunately I can't use the MSVC toolchain. I've
