Dear QGIS devs & packagers
This is a copy and paste of my previous email for the 2.0 release, but with
details added for the 2.0.1 bugfix. The bugfix addresses concerns about the
missing swisstopo acknowledgement for the splash screen map and in the
process introduces a few small cleanups and bug
Hi
Can I suggest we divide the sessions into two: round table discussions (any
time of day, not recorded) and presentations (scheduled times, recorded).
The round tables can follow presentations where needed. So the format would

I like the idea of the informal round tables, but I will try to set up
my system so I can record the screen and the voice and have that
session recorded. It won't be a formal lesson/workshop, but i think it
might be interesting for some people, and it should not be difficult
to do.

Hi Robert,
We are arranging the webcasting and people should be able to see the talks
live. The main thing is to sort out the time table so people from different
time zones can re schedule their sleeping times!
Mathias K, would you be able to schedule a (loose) programme of the talks
after the vo
Hi Saber,
I will do so tomorrow.
I expect the sessions to be more of an informal "round table" and not a
"presentation talk" as such. Although I hope we get somebody to give
some initial input in most of the sessions.
Nathan asked me for being able to participate in some and I think these

Hi !
Thanks for this and sorry for the late reaction.
I've just added a topic in the wiki about support for 3D in QGIS.
We would like to discuss the state of Globe and other projects and
possibles steps to make QGIS aware of a third dimension and able to
display it.
Could you please Matthias add
Hi Hugo,
It's added, thank you for pointing out.
I will happily make a short presentation of my globe development of the
last weeks there.

Hi happy HF-ers,
Is it possible to record and publish this sessions (by Victor) and the
other?
I'm ready to participate online (IRC, ...), but recorded one will give
much stronger feedback and attract more developers.
regards,
Robert

Hi All
Because of the ommission of copyright / acknowledgment to Swisstopo for the
splash screen, I will be putting out a 2.0.1 bugfix release. So 2.0.0 will
be a purely conceptual release. I will make the source archives available
later tonight. My apologies to all packagers for any invoncenience

Hi all.
I'll be giving a workshop soon:

I would like to focus it on new QGIS 2.0 functions, so my idea is to take the
changelog and prepare an example for each of the new features (excluding those

Hi Swapan,
The code should compile for ARM, as it's does for the QGIS for Android
project.
Regarding Open GL, there is probably not much experience around in this
project, but maybe someone will chime in.
And you will probably have more response, if you CC the mailing list :)

Hi,
Please vote for the sessions you would like to visit.

This will help us to set up a timeslot for sessions with lots of
participants. And for the topics with less participants, you'll know who
you should sit next to at beer O'clock.
