I recently installed QGIS via OSGeo4W on a new machine and noticed that the
core database manager plugin does not list Spatialite connections due to
the lack of pyspatialite. Imho, this library should be installed by default
when QGIS is selected. I've opened a ticket for this on the OSGeo4W b
