Hi René-Luc,
Very well said, likewise here in the Pacific Island QGIS Server and
Lizmap are major parts of our GIS projects, especially for Utilities.
On the same note we would love to see QGIS Server maintained, count me
IN participating and maintaining QGIS.
cheers,
Edwin

Trusty doesn't have Qca for Qt5.

I hope the subject is clear. Is it feasible yet to set up Travis to test
plugins against QGIS3 master? My .travis.yml currently has:
dist: trusty
env:
- QGIS_REPO=http://qgis.org/debian-ltr
- QGIS_REPO=http://qgis.org/debian
- QGIS_REPO=http://qgis.org/debian-nightly

Wow, I am impressed by the amount of feedback and active interest in the
QGIS server.
With this motivation behind it I am confident this part of the project
can be continued in a solid and sustainable way.
From a technical perspective I also fully agree with Jürgen that keeping
the source code
It sounds great. I agree that QGIS Server needs a dedicated effort and
coordination.
We (gis3w) will try to contribute. We are not C++ devs but we have summed a
significative experience with QGIS Servers's strengths and weeknesses. We
will partecipate to the discussions on the "high level" roadmap
I would prefer mantaining it in QGIS core too, but we need to find the
resources to keep it up to date with QGIS 3 refactoring. I thought this was
the problem...

Hi Nathan,
I'd like to escape _ or %.
I'd like to do it because I've been requested to fix the OGC Element
PropertyIsLike.
This element can specify it's own escape char, single char and wild char
For exemple the * can be defined as the wild char so the % has to be
escaped to be used as an
Hi
Are you telling that the server codebase could rely on these features
(multiproject management and layer cache) with
the actual refactoring ? This would be really a good thing - (and also a
better handling of the layer registry that introduces weird
things with the ownership of layers).

Me too. To me it's also not so clear why it should be separated more from

Thanks Luigi,
I'm quite new to docker, if I get it right, I should:
1 - Add a new environment variable to docker file. something like "ENV
QGIS_PROFILE /project/.qgis2"
2 - Change startup.sh from su $USER_NAME -c "/usr/bin/qgis" to "su $USER_NAME
-c "/usr/bin/qgis --confipath QGIS_PROFILE"

Hi,
I recently had the need to filter a layer based on a selection, e.g. for
QGIS atlas. The expressions plus plugin provides the
"isselected(layername)" function which returns true|false for each
feature - based on the selection state.
Could we make this a core expression in QGIS without the
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19537645/get-environment-variable-value-in-dockerfile

I did the base of 2.14 dockerfile... but I didn't follow it's
evolution... probably there is an issue.
better than a issue, would be fine a PR :) edit

Hi all,
So I assume the discussion is not about kicking QGIS server out of the
project, but about finding a way to improve the situation and make QGIS
server more reliable and renovate the code base - right?
I have to say it comes a bit as a surprise to me that suddenly QGIS

Hi there,
I'm trying to set up multiple docker images to test different environments

I just gave a try to excellent Tim's repository with docker images for all
QGIS versions.
My question : Is it possible to launch a docker image with --configpath
option as an argument so that I
Gis3W is also highly interested in partecipating, since we employ QGIS
Server in critical components of our business .
It's ok for us to keep QGIS Server out of the main repo. This would give
also the opportunity to manage a different release cycle.
The QGIS 3 refactoring is a great opportunity

I don't understand why people want to stick to the outdated trusty, but
since they do, perhaps they're should contribute to
