If you convert your plugin functionality into Processing scripts, then
it's very easy to distribute them, no need create a plugin manually
and add them to it.
Just create your scripts and make sure they are available in the
toolbox. Then, in the "Scripts" group of the toolbox, you will find a
tool

I've just downloaded QGIS 2.18.1 for Windows (64-bit) and run the installer. I
have an existing installation of 2.18.0 installed at C:\Program Files\QGIS 2.18
and the .1 installer now wants to install into C:\Program Files\QGIS Las. I've
changed the path to my existing 2.18
