Dear Paolo,
did you find a solution to this problem? I have exactly the same problem and
error messages. I am a fairly new user but it worked fine to begin with but
after a forced interruption I am not able to load any toolbox. All the best!

I apologize that I would not participate on this year's GSoC. I simply
don't have time to do a bit of research to make a good proposal on the
ideas above. And GSoC takes quite a lot of time even before the summer to
discuss and mock the proposal later to the community before coding period,

QGIS and GRASS GIS installed on Ubuntu, the
QGIS packages with "ubuntugis" dependencies are now broken:

This is a fresh, qgis 2.18 build, without any flag (i use to used -
march=native), just changing the install path

This error in Processing has been fixed in the 2.18 branch but after the
2.18.2 tag.
While we are waiting for the 2.18.5 release on mac, you can apply this
patch manually in the
file :
/Applications/QGIS.app/Contents/Resources/python/plugins/processing/algs/saga/SagaUtils.py
