That's odd. I redid the entire thing just now (restarted QGIS, made scratch point layer, created a 100m buffer) and the values I get are now correct. Even the area computations were off in the first one but after redoing the process, everything looks good. point-buffer2.png

A possible explanation could be that QGIS doesn't pick up the correct ellipsoid definition from the CRS metadata. I had a hunch that might be the problem but couldn’t come up with a test to confirm it. I suspect it would be simple to test in debug mode. /Kristian -Oprindelig meddelelse---
