Hey list,
The (very, very) handy azure builds are coming up with a notice:
"This pipeline uses a Microsoft-hosted agent image that will be
removed on March 23, 2020 (vs2015-win2012r2). You must make changes to
your pipeline before that date, or else your pipeline will fail. Learn

Note that we also tried the same code with qgis v3.12.0, with the same
result.

Hello,
We have encountered a problem in attempting to create WMS layers using
PyQGIS (QGIS version 3.10.1 - installed from conda-forge).
Attempting to create a QgsRasterLayer with the `wms` provider results in
a segmentation fault.
The following is a reproducible example. Running this code
I posted this message to the qgis-user list about a week ago

But when following up today it occurred to me the question might be better
suited for the dev list.

Hi folks,
as far as I can tell from the documentation, QGIS compiles with Python
3.X. Maybe I am overlooking something, but I have not seen a restriction
such as e.g. Python 3.5 or greater for QGIS 3.12.
What's the minimum Python version that should assume when writing Python
code for plugins or

Most of this argument is also applicable to the documentation of new
features. It is often left to documentation team or users to figure it out.
Obviously, we are guilty of this!

Hi,
In general, I agree with Nyalls proposal. As a customer or user of QGIS
who wants stability, this is a good thing.
But like Larry, I think we should be careful and not ask a dev to be
responsible for a new feature during his lifetime ;-) ( I know this is
exaggerating ). Let's limit the r
Hi,
Thanks Nyall for this proposal. I agree this rule should be more
explicit. For professional developers, the maintenance cost of their new
features should be included somehow in the price. A more explicit rule
like this could help to support the message.
For what it's worth I personaly feel fr
Hi Nyall,
Thanks for your answer.
If it doesn't take too much time for you, yes please, you can send me these
hints on how to implement this. I'll add it in my backlog and I'll be happy
to do it if I find the time (and manage to sell it to my boss, but he might
be ok as it's an issue for us).

This Martin's presentation in FOSS4G perhaps can show the current list of
features also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stKWTOI0dFc&t=4s
