I just wanted to bring your attention to the OSGEO UN Committee Educational 
Challenge, applications for which close on 8 May 2018. The challenge is looking 
for proposals for developing open geospatial educational material for three 
challenges:

Challenge 1: Spiral 1 of UN – GeoSHAPE platform for data collection
Challenge 2: Spiral 3 of UN – Functionalities for UN Operations
Challenge 3: Open geospatial data and software for UN sustainable development 
goals

Prize money of USD 3,000 for each challenge is sponsored by OSGeo and Boundless.
