Thanks for the script, I was able to reproduce the segmentation fault
with a dummy gpkg I made.
After some investigations, it seems that the symbol named "style_layer"
used in
1. the addSymbol() method for the first layer
2. & 3. the QgsRendererCategory() constructor for
