But how can I change it? Maintainer is set to 'testuser' probably since
the plugin was used for testing the plugin system. Or should someone
else commit my changes or something?

I made you a maintainer. So I think you can upload a version yourself now.
I do not see a way to make you maintainer of the plugin...
