the algorithms used?
Moreover, would it be possible to integrate it in the main interpolation

There is no specialized algorithm, the procedure in which pixel values are

Simply put its a radial gradient.

I would suggest apply a default colormap (instead of greyscale or as
option) for the plugin output.
