Hey All,
Just wondering what the status of the new website is. It would be really
nice to have this done for the release if we can.

Hi all.
Back from a short meeting with Otto, Werner, Raynold, and Alessandro.
Main conclusions:

quite separate (but readily accessible) from it

Reviewing the website it seems you have two navigation menus, one at the top
and one at the left. I would suggest making the only menu the top one
It seems a lot of the features there should be under a common page as it looks
right now looks crowded, messy..not good for general users

I think it will work for now. What CMS are you using?
I got a web designer friend who I can ask to give a few pointers, but probably

Hi all.
I think we should have a website as lean and clean as possible,
leaving more dynamic stuff to other media, and making it easier to
translate and maintain it.
This is a proposal.

my intrusion, But I would like to give my opinion regarding the Website.
I might be also late to this discussion, but, As a user, one thing I find
quite disconcerting in qgis.org page is the fact that almost every menu

The current doc website is simple and good looking, but the logo is not on
par. Some html5 and fancy stuff could be a good idea, as you say, if it is
coherent among the other qgis websites.
