I am sure that such a study would contribute some interesting aspects
about shortcomings of the existing GUI, or ideas to improve it.

It is Qgis 1.6. In the end of the report, there are suggestions that refers
to the cases in the study and for better improvements of them. During the
study, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Kursat Cağıltay was my advisor. It was just
final homework of a Human Computer Interaction (HCI) course, but turned out

Thanks Nathan. As I stated on the paper too, there is something special
about Qgis software that the designers of the software put effort on users'
needs which is very new in gis area.

that they are biased towards a specific product. If you test with a
ArcGIS or MapInfo user they will regard anything that behaves different
as inferior or difficult.

were positive to the software even it was their first usage. It was
difficult and unusual for them as they get used to do these operations on
other gis software interface. Therefore, this might have brought negat
