Thanks Anita -downloading the plugin directly (not using the plugin
installer) solved the problem :)

I cannot run the modeler in Sextante on a QGIS 1.8 with a Windows 7 - 64 bit.
It seems like the issue closed here http://hub.qgis.org/issues/7187,
stating: Fixed in master
Will this mean that on a W7 64bit one has to wait to the next version of
QGIS for the modeler to work?
Thank
Jakob

Jakob,
more or less, yes :-(
The current development version of SEXTANTE includes changes to adapt
to the new vector API, which render it incompatible with 1.8.
Mantaining a version compatible with 1.8 means extra effort, and there
are no plans for that.

Hi Jakob,
For me modeler worked just fine with 1.0.8 version of Sextante in QGIS 1.8
on Windows.
Just download it from
http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/sextante/version/1.0.8/ and replace the
version that was installed by Plugin Installer.
Best wishes,
Anita
