Good proposal.
I think it would be good to state / write some commitments after GSofC
by saying. You will maintain this orfeo plugin, fix bugs and update it
as well create new releases in the future.
This makes the proposal stronger for approval in my opinion.

Still, I find it strange that you copied such a great part of my own
proposal [1] verbatim, including the project plan: list of
deliverables and timeline (down to the dates).

Orfeo Toolbox [1] is one of the most powerful and full-fledged image
analysis libraries I've seen around.
