Boaz,
Assuming that's the correct CRS,
1. Save the DXF as a Shapefile and specify 4326.
2. Using Reproject Layer, select the newly created shapefile and
specify the 2039 ( I had it wrong in my previous email) in the
*Target CRS* field, by right clicking on the button to the right of
the
Hey,
By defined, im looking to see are you using a recognised Coordinate
reference System (CRS).
For Example you mention Israeli TM, which has a EPSG code of 2093, does
your old Grid have a recognised CRS 4141 perhaps???
Without knowing what CRS of your DXF has its very hard to do either of

Hi,
Qgis works well with 4GB of memory on windows 7-64 for simple projects. If
possible, I would have more that one VM that would be configured with each 4GB
of ram and limit 1 user at a time per VM. If your server can handle the load,
that would be the best way to go it think.

Hi,
I see that Richard has responded correctly. I will just add that dxf files do
not really have a CRS. You just need to know it! Usually, the coordinates are
in meters or feet and correspond to a local CRS (ex UTM zone 18N). You may
have to do some trial and error in order to find the
We have several users on the same VM which is what causes the contention
for memory

Ian,
You could try to limit the max amount of ram available for each VM, this
would have been done when each, was created, you should probably start
there!
Its under Settings, System, Motherboard and Base Memory, I would say
reduce it so as each VM has equal Memory and you leave a bit for the
Hi Boaz,
First thing I would say is to save it as a shapefile in its native CRS.
Also you dont mention a EPSG Code, are you using a defined or custom CRS?
If you are using a defined CRS with a EPSG, you can use on the fly
transformations, having the project set to the "New Grid" and your
Hi,
I am using QGIS 2.18.2 on a Mac and new to QGIS (or much of GIS), but I
would like to get a specific task done and I am not sure if I ran into a
fundamental limitation of QGIS.
As I tried to describe on gis.stackexchange.com, I would like to produce
shape files for US census block groups
Hi Steve,
Are you able to add some data to the bug report that isn’t working?
A bit of the csv file and the csvt would do.
(I just failed to replicate it, although I’m sure I’ve seen it in the last
month or so…)
Ramon.
