This seems to be a bug in SAGA NextGen. I'm already looking to file a pull request, but you could also quickly fix it for yourself by going to .local/share/QGIS/QGIS3/profiles/default/python/plugins/processing_saga_nextgen/description/SimpleFilter.txt and changing "MODE" to "KERNEL_TYPE" and "RADIUS" to "KERNEL_RADIUS". You might also do it in SimpleFilerwithinshape.txt if you want that one to work as well.
